Into the life of Ashley
I came to Earth on November 19th, 1988. I know I may be bad at math, but I'm certain that makes me 20 years old. I was born and raised in a small town located somewhere in Canada, and I long for the day when I am finally am able to break free. Living in a small town your whole life has it's advantages, but when you know everyone and nothing is a secret, it makes for a boring life. Our town is a nice place to raise children, but it's just not for me.
I have a huge family, all of whom are very important to me. My mom is Wendy, and my dad is Aubrey. But I have a stepdad named David, and a stepmom named Laurie. Though neither are married to my parents, they've been together for more than enough years for it to be common law.
My only real sibling is my sister; Candice (18). I have a half brother; Kevin (24) on my mom's side. And a half sister; Hannah (8) on my dad's side. I also have an adopted sister; Yolanda (32) on my mom's side.
I only have one living grandparent; Nana, my mom's mom. My grandmother on my dad's side died on Valentines Day, 2001, and my grandfather died on January 13th a year later. I've never really had a grandfather on my mom's side, since my mom's dad died when she was really young. My Nana has been remarried and divorced since then.
My mom has two brothers and a sister, all of whom have been married at once time or another. My aunt has been divorced a few times, but my uncles are still married, so I have two more aunts through marriage. I have 8 cousins between the three of them, plus many second and third cousins. My dad has three brothers, two of which are married, none have children though. They are all great, even though I don't see many very often. I also have various pets, that I love just as much as any family member of mine. Lot of family eh?
You can usually find me typing away at my laptop, hanging with my boyfriend Jordan, or I could be reading a good book, or writing stories and poems about love and happiness and friendships that are flawless. Just maybe I'm listening to music or watching a movie or a show on TV. During my favorite season; summer, you can usually find me taking walks, swimming in our pool, sunbathing on our hammock, or hanging out at the docks feeding the ducks. I live a balanced life, but a boring one.
Reading and writing are two of my favorite hobbies, but I would be no where without my black Sony Cybershot. It is one of 3 things that I carry around with me at all times, (the other two being my grey Ipod Nano and my white LG Rumor). I love taking photographs of nature, people, streets, anything at all. I am no where near being a professional, but it is one of the few things in life that I enjoy.
As for my personality, it's quite hard to describe, as I can be anything you want me to be. I can be mature, sensitive, kind, outgoing, thoughtful, bouncy, annoying, loud, obnoxious, quiet, emotional, shy, immature, mean, close, distant .. I can be anything I want to be. Labels do not define me, I define me. I am kind, gentle, and perfectly flawed. I am opinionated, yet I do not really have an opinion on anything. I speak my mind, but hardly say a word. I am a major contradiction, but most of all, I am human.
