Annoyances
About MSN Messenger Chats
1. The 'numbers' chatters - The people who like having their contact list filled to the top. Doesn't matter if they never talk to you, just as long as you're one more person. And of course you'll accept them cause you think they'll talk to you. I mean they did add you after all. But nope, not one word.
2. The 'I want something' chatters - People who only talk to you when they want you to vote for them, or want to know your opinion on a crappy graphic they made. At first it was fine, you were happy to help out when they were having legitimate coding problems and questions. But "what pictures of the jonas brothers should I use?" is just to much for me to handle.
3. The 'hey, are you there?' chatters - I change my status to 'Sleep, then work til 4' and set myself to away. When I come home after work, I find that the same person has left 5 messages, all saying 'Hey, are you there?' over and over again. I thought it was pretty clear that when I didn't answer the first time, or the second time, that I wasn't there. Surely if the status saying 'I'm not here' wasn't enough, the fact that I wasn't answering should have gave it away.
4. The 'Hey, what's up, cool' chatters - Pretty annoying when the only thing the person has to say is;
Them: Hey
You: Hello
Them: What's up
You: -goes on for about 5 sentences about how you're updating your site and watching an interesting movie online-
Them: Cool
You: Yeah. What about you?
Them: n2m
end of conversation
5. The '=) >.< XD :( ;_;' chatters - People who talk in all emoticons and smilies. It is sooooo annoying. I cannot have a conversation about a face, sorry.
6. The 'lol wut up gf! btw i sux' - Chatspeaking. Eww. Plain and simple. I had this friend online that I loved to talk to, then all of a sudden she went all chatspeak and I couldn't understand a word she was saying. I'm not overly intelligent, but I think I should be able to understand a simple conversation. Since when did hru equal how are you?
